Strange Fruit is an independent anthology by Dutch Jackson. This page explains what strangefruitseries.com collects when you visit, watch, read, or buy something, and who else sees it. The short version: we count visits, we run ads, and we take orders. We do not sell your information.

What we collect on our own

Every page view sends a small first-party beacon to our server with the page you visited and the page that referred you. This is our own visitor counter — it holds no name, no account, and no cookie. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which records aggregate page views and device type without identifying individuals.

Video

Episodes play through embedded YouTube players. When you press play, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect viewing data under Google's privacy policy. We do not receive personal information from those players.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure them. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or through aboutads.info. A list of the vendors Google may work with is published at support.google.com/adsense. Ads are never shown on store or checkout pages.

Marketing pixels

When enabled, the site may load the Meta pixel or Google Analytics so that people who watched an episode can later be shown the books. These set third-party cookies. You can block them with a content blocker or your browser's cookie settings and the site will work the same.

When you buy something

Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. To fulfill an order we pass your name, email, and shipping address to the printer for that item — Lulu for books, Printful for merch — and to Resend for the order email. E-book downloads are served from our own storage through a link tied to your order. We keep order records for accounting and support.

Children

Strange Fruit is horror and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at orders@strangefruitseries.com. We will update this page when the site's behavior changes.
